I have created text throughout the year. Examples of this can be seen in ‘dps and front cover write up’, ‘…load selection features’ and ‘induction evaluation front cover 1’


Filters

I used the filter ‘bevel and emboss when creating the smashed screen effect for my leading page. I have also used the liquify filter for the main 3 mirror images in ‘dps and front cover write up’ and also can be seen in the ‘liquefy experiment’. Unsharp mask has also been used and can be seen in my blog entry



Brushes

I used brushes for the splatter effect as seen in my ‘dps and front cover write up’


Layers

I am very familiar with layers at this stage with them being used in almost all of my photography for my front cover and dps.


Opacity control

I used this for my front cover when creating a button. By using this tool parts of the model were able to be seen.

I used this when creating the button tool for my front cover. I have also used this in my ‘induction evaluation front cover 1’

In most of my pictures for my final product I used this. Especially for my front cover where the skin tone of my model has been brightened significantly

I have used both tools often for example when selecting my model for the splatter effect (‘dps and front cover write up’). I have also used it when creating vampire teeth in ‘vampire effect’.

I used this to get rid of certain factors such as dirt on the backdrop for my front cover.

I used this when editing my model for my front cover. I replaced the colour of the lips and eyes with another one.

I have resized images to control the text and image ratio in my dps.

I have rotated the splatter effect image of my dps and resized the mirror images on the left hand side of my dps.

I used kerning for my front covers brand name when controlling how far apart the letters were from each other.

For my article I used text flow creation to spread my article from one point the other in my dps.

I used dotted lines across my margin guides. I originally wanted my leading page to include curved and therefore have practiced creating a path and inserting text onto a path.

In my dps I have used a drop out box in which I have added colour and made the edges of the box curved

For my splatter effect image on my dps I have added a drop cap, adding shadow to it for a professional effect.
